Solar Panels

Solar panels are made up of cells, which absorb and convert light energy into electricity. The quality of the solar panel is one of the most important aspects of going solar. We offer mono-crystalline (most efficient) and polycrystalline (more economical) solar panels. Almost 90% of the World’s photovoltaics are based on some variation of silicon. The main difference is the purity of the silicon and subsequently the efficiency of the panels. To enhance the purity of silicon is expensive. That is why mono-crystalline panels usually cost more, but are more efficient. Find here an example of the two different types of panels SolyLakay offers.

Apart from these two classic panel types, there are (newer) alternatives such as thin film or building in types made of different materials. They are (still) less efficient (7-13%) than the classics, but they degrade faster and need a lot of space. The building in alternatives, e.g facades or roofs combined with photovoltaic material also might be an alternative – yet only for people with big pockets.

We offer a 12 years of warranty, all the certification you need to get government rebates;  and to install your solar home system, we work with the best contractors.
