General information on generators and inverters
The solar inverter (or converter, PV inverter) converts the energy output of the solar panel (direct current (DC)) into an alternating current (AC) that can be used locally in your home to electrify your fridge, air condition, TV, lights etc. who are usually AC-powered or into a commercial electric grid.
